SHARE: Have you ever heard the phrase:
“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” Do you think this is true or false? Share a time when someone’s words have encouraged you. Share a time when your words were able to encourage others. Share a time when words have hurt you. Share a time when your words have hurt others.

PRAY: Ask the Lord to help you guard your speech. Pray that your words will be used to encourage and build others up.

PRAY: Praise God in your prayer for how He has so richly blessed us with spiritual blessings. Pray for those that you know who don’t know Jesus yet. Pray that God will lead you to tell them that Jesus will make all the difference in your life.
