Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

SHARE: Share a time when God has been faithful to you in your life. (Parents: share with your children how you have seen the faithfulness of God in your family from previous generations.) Be sure not to overlook the “small things” in life that God has provided for you.
PRAY: Ask the Lord to give you a heart of thankfulness and to see his faithfulness in everyday life.
Parents – Refer to the “One Conversation” page for further discussion with your children.
SHARE: During this Thanksgiving holiday, make a list of some of the blessings that God has bestowed on you and your family. Discuss together the characteristics of God, such as His faithfulness, strength, mercy, etc. that are the reasons why He has blessed Your life in these ways.
PRAY: Praise God for His character, for who He is. Ask Him to help you recognize that the blessings in your life are a result of His loving, faithful, and generous nature.
An obvious part of WORSHIP is giving thanks to GOD for his provision in your life. Be sure to notice that 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says to give thanks IN all things, not necessarily for all things. Sometimes the Lord has us walk through challenges for our good. We should mindful to praise God and thank him for those “life lessons.” What specific examples of God’s faithfulness do you need to be thankful for today?
