We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. For those He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. -Romans 8:28-29

READ: Ephesians 6:10-20
SHARE: In this passage, we see the Armor of God detailed for us. What is the weapon we are given? (The Word of God) Are you effectively using this weapon in battle? (We are in battle everyday!) There is something amazing that happens when we begin to wield the mighty sword of the Word when the enemy attacks. When we memorize verses like this week’s Life Verse, the Holy Spirit will help us recall these truths at just the right time.
PRAY: Praise the Lord for providing us this armor and weapon for us to use in this life. Ask Him to help you as you seek to memorize more Scripture. Start with this week’s Life Verse!
Parents – Refer to the “One Conversation” page for further discussion with your children.
READ: 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
SHARE: It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Maybe a well chosen symbol is worth a million words. The symbols of the bread and cup of the Lord’s Supper when correctly understood, are nothing short of world changing. What is the bread a symbol of? What is the cup of wine a symbol of? Why is it important for us to remember the Lord in this way? When will this act of worship stop? Why?
PRAY: Thank God for the price that was paid by His Son to save us from our sin. Take time to examine your own heart now. Is there any sin that you have not confessed to the Lord? If so, would you confess that to Him now? Perhaps you would even say to Him today, “Here I am, send me.”
READ: Colossians 3:16
SHARE: In Col. 3, Paul is giving clear instructions to the believers about their life in Christ. In verse 16, He encourages them to let the Word of Christ (THE BIBLE) dwell in them richly. In order for the truth of THE BIBLE to swell in us richly, we must spend time in the Word. But not only spend time in the Word (reading) but also meditating on the truth that we read. Are you taking time to truly dwell in the Word and in turn allowing The Word to dwell richly in you? What steps do you need to take in order to make your time in THE BIBLE a priority.
PRAY: Ask the Lord to help you make Bible study a priority in your daily routine. Thank Him for the amazing miracle of the Bible and for giving it to us to read, study and live out.
