There are 5 steps to becoming a member of our church:
1. Let us know you want to join by “coming forward” during a service or by talking to a pastor.
2. Receive Christ as your Savior and obey Him through baptism by immersion.
3. Attend a Membership Matters class.
4. Participate in an interview with a pastor.
5. Be affirmed by our church family in a Covenant service.
What is a Membership Matters class?
Membership Matters is a class offered every other month at 10:45am in the Fireside Room. The class lasts about 3 hours, including lunch. It covers everything you need to know about our church’s history, leadership, beliefs, Southern Baptist affiliation, ministry opportunities, expectations of members, and more! Childcare is provided. I have already accepted Christ as my Savior and been baptized by immersion in another church. Do I need to be baptized again?
No. If you’ve been baptized by immersion in another church, we simply request that church to transfer your membership here. You still need to attend a Membership Matters class, participate in an interview, and be affirmed in a Covenant Service.
I have accepted Christ as Savior and Lord, but have not been baptized by immersion. Do I still need to be baptized by immersion?
Yes. We believe baptism by immersion (having your body briefly submerged under water) in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is an act of obedience symbolizing your faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, your death to sin, the burial of your old life, and your resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.
What do you expect of me after I join?
Regular attendance in worship services and Sunday school, a commitment to our church covenant, and a commitment to grow as a disciple of Christ through worshipping, connecting, serving, and going.
