Respite Care
6:30pm – 10:00pm (every third Friday of the month)
Respite Care is a ministry started by one of our members, Kara Bishop (Breath of Hope). Her son, Cory, is physically handicapped and breathes through a ventilator. Kara knows firsthand the challenge many parents, of special needs children, face. Respite Care ministers to those parents by providing free childcare for their children, while Mom and Dad enjoy an evening together, resting in the knowledge that their children are safe and well cared for. All of our Respite Care volunteers have gone through specific training on how to interact with and care for children with physical or mental disabilities.
