Team Ministry

This leadership team is chosen each year by Mike and meets from 8 – 9pm the first Wednesday of every other month. To serve on this team, you must be a member of the worship choir for at least six months and set a positive example through attendance, punctuality, conduct, attitude, and service..

Fellowship Coordinator: Leanne Barnett
  • assists Mike in coordinating a Christmas party, fall retreat, winter retreat, and summer fellowship
  • Time Commitment: varies by event

Inreach Coordinator: Marilyn Montgomery

  • coordinates efforts to meet the various needs of choir members
  • encourages members weekly through phone calls, emails, and cards
  • provides direction to increase the unity of this ministry
  • Time Commitment: 15 minutes per week

    • Music Librarian: Shawn Dickson
    • organizes and maintains the music library, choir and band folders, and choir room
    • prepares music for rehearsals and worship services
    • Time Commitment:  30 – 40 minutes per week

    Outreach Coordinator: Tama Norris
    • plans and coordinates the annual Chili and Caroling night
    • plans and coordinates two outreach events each year
    • develop and implement an ongoing strategy to recruit new choir members
    • provides direction to increase our relevance in our church and community
    • Time Commitment:  varies by event
    .
    Section Leader: Leslie Jones (S), Sybil Wammack (A), Barry Roberson (T), Butch Patterson (B)
    • works with the Team Leader to connect new members
    • makes weekly phone calls to members who miss a rehearsal or worship service
    • learns his/her music quickly and helps the section to do the same
    • Time Commitment:  20 – 30 minutes per week

    Team Leader: Linda Patterson
    • walks guests through the membership process from their first visit to membership in the worship choir
    • accounts for money paid by members for events, CDs, books, and donations
    • provides overall leadership to the team by maintaining accountability with other leaders
    • Time Commitment:  varies by event
