International Mission Board:

Equips and serves SBC churches all around the world with missions and church planting

Project 3000:

Presently there are over 3,000 people groups in the world that are unengaged with the gospel.  Over the next 5 years our IMB will appoint 300 missionaries to confront this lostness.  Each missionary will be assigned 300 people groups, for a 2 year period, in which to develop a strategy to engage each people group with the gospel. Levie, is one such missionary already appointed to serve in South Asia. This is a daunting task, one that is made possible through our giving to our IMB through our WIO.  Let us pray for Levie and all of these missionaries assigned to this tremendous challenge.

Shaun Shorrosh serves in four countries in the Middle East assisting local churches in their mobilization:

(6 of the students plan to teach the course in their churches). Shaun has asked us to pray for (1) his wife, Amal, who is preparing for 2 days of recording 15 video clips of praise songs that will be aired via satellite television (2) the students that will be teaching the market place course in their churches.

Madison has shared this praise with us (1) The discovery of believers within the Tikulhara people, the unreached, unengaged people group for which we have been praying (2) her acceptance into Southeastern Seminary next for next year. Pray for (1) Discipleship to be multiplied among the Tikulhara people (2) to discover more South Asian sisters who are available to come alongside her in the city ministry (3) for her transitioning back to the states in late summer.

Children's Hope (Haiti):

Orphanage in Jacmel, Haiti

The political scene in Haiti continues to worsen.  Due to the resignation of the prime minister the policeman from Kenya has been put on hold.

Pray for (1) God's protection of the innocent, especially those that we serve on a daily basis through our children's home, medical clinic, schools, and community ministries.  (2) wisdom for their staff as they navigate what they know will be precarious, volatile days ahead. (3) the Peace of God to reign in Haiti. (4) God's provision. Scarcity and inflation have been the primary obstacles over the last few years. Food and supplies have been in limited quantities and when they have been available, the cost has been exorbitant.  Praise for (1) the continued ministry of feeding those most destitute (2) for the dental clinic at the orphanage that saw 1100+ patients last year and (3) ministry for the orphans at Children’s Hope.
