Equips and serves SBC churches all around the world with missions and church planting
Project 3000:
Presently there are over 3,000 people groups in the world that are unengaged with the gospel. Over the next 5 years our IMB will appoint 300 missionaries to confront this lostness. Each missionary will be assigned 300 people groups, for a 2-year period, in which to develop a strategy to engage each people group with the gospel. To date 18 explorers are on the mission field. Progress is being made with 83 people groups having been explored in one year. Pray for these missionaries on the field and for more to be called and sent.
Shaun Shorrosh serves in four countries in the Middle East assisting local churches in their mobilization:
Shaun has shared his praises with us for (1) his present furlough in the states (B-Ham with his son). Pray for (1) the ministry in the Middle East while they are away.
IMB Missionaries
J & R:
J & R have shared these praises with us for (1) the finding of believers in the Tikulhara, a UUPG for which we have been praying, and (2) for the journeyman that God has sent to serve. J & R have asked us to pray for (1) S as she continues to serve as a journeyman, (2) for the 2 journeymen from South America that is now serving alongside of them, and (3) for the pastors that lead the house churches while overseeing multiple house churches.
Madison
Continue to pray for her as she is in school at Southeastern Baptist Seminary in Wake Forrest, NC.
Austin & Stephanie
Pray for them as they complete the process with the IMB to be appointed missionaries.
Mary Conley Teel
Mary has returned to Kaabong, Uganda where she served for 2 years as a journeyman (1921-23). She has been stateside serving in our association (BMBA) while attending seminary. She will be working with the Karamojong people, focusing on discipleship. Mary has shared this praise with us (1) the believers who are testifying of how the Lord has called them out of darkness and into light and has given them new life are doing so beautifully!
Pray (1) that God would be exalted and known and loved among the Karamojong, (2) God would unveil their eyes to His glory and His goodness and that they would see Him as God, (3) that their ears would hear and that many would be saved, (4) that our team and the believers would walk worthy of the calling we have received in gentleness and humility, and that we would abide deeply. Apart from Him we can do nothing, (5) that the Lord builds the house. Because if He does not build the house, we labor in vain, (6) that we would overflow and abound in thanksgiving and hope for the Lord is good and His steadfast love endures forever, (7) and that God would give me a tender heart towards the Karamojong and that my responses would be full of compassion and humility and grace - I can feel impatient towards them sometimes so I am asking God to help me with that one.
Pray for President Bryant Wright as he leads Send Relief within our SBC in their
national and international efforts to minister in the midst of natural disasters and unique
opportunities of gospel ministries.
Orphanage in Jacmel, Haiti
Children’s Hope has continued to partner with local pastors as they share the gospel throughout the region. Pastor Francky Jeune is one of these pastors. Pastor Francky presently oversees several churches and three schools. He has had several opportunities to leave Haiti for a better life but has chosen to stay and minister among the people. Praise for (1) Isaiah Peters serving at Children’s Hope. Isaiah is the adopted Haitian son of the Executive Director for CH. He and his family left Hati several years ago before the political crisis. He has had a desire to return to serve his people. That came to fruition in January of this year. Pray for (1) Isaiah as he serves (2) Children’s Hope as they continue to minister to the children in the orphanage, the schools in the community and to the people that come to the medical clinic (3) the political unrest that continues to lead to gang violence and (4) that a door will open for Pastor Francky to come to the U.S. for a much needed heart cath.

Praise for (1) the beautiful care the children receive from all
the staff. (2) Nick an Alyssa Cross and their 3 daughters who
have moved to Costa Rica to serve in the children’s home
and (3) the gospel seeds that are constantly planted in the
hearts of the children.
Pray for (1) the children who come to this home from difficult
family situations. (2) for the staff that care for the children

Pray for the continued growth in this ministry as Tim and Dena will be spending more time in Guatemala by not having to travel to Costa Rica as often.
Bringing the hope of the gospel to the Middle East and Africa through mission efforts, church planting and pastor training
Dr. R wanted to share these praises for (1) the doors that have opened as the results of his book. He has asked us to pray for (1) the necessary work needed to prepare new church site for occupation, and (2) for evangelist, AK (not his real name) as he has been threatened by a group of men with whom he shared the gospel. They attempted to manipulate AK to get him to come to their home and they intended to bring him harm. AK continues to share the gospel in a community where radical Muslims live.
