Local Partnerships
The Grace Place (TGP) is now "Serving You Ministries @ The Grace Place". John Gibson is the Executive Director. Mickey Wade will serve as the Site Director, Lynn Laws will serve as Administrative Assistant to John, Carol Kepfer will serve as Volunteer Coordinator and Board Member. Mickey, Lynn, and Carol are members of GLBC and have served as volunteers at TGP. Pray for: (1) The renovations to enhance the ministry potential, and (2) The donations of time, money and labor that made these renovations possible.
Pray for: (1) Mickey, Lynn, and Carol as they provide leadership during and after this time of transition (2) Our members who volunteer at The Grace Place: Ann Jones, Johnny Pate, Carolyn Pate, Billy Pate, Al Hayes, Kim Hayes, Teresa McGuire, Lynne Hocutt, Janice Whaley, Phyllis Baker, Jami Bowen, Christian Bowen, Mayra Hutchison, Desland Robinson, and Carlos Perez; and (3) Stephen Shelton, Director of Ministries who has stage 4 kidney cancer.

Pray for our members who volunteer at Sav-a-life: Ann Jones, Jackie Hadaway, Angel Hudgins, Elizabeth Masingill, and Chris Craig and Brian Hudgins serves on the board of directors.
After school Bible clubs held in public elementary schools in Birmingham and the surrounding counties. We now have 2 classes at McCalla Elementary that meet every Monday afternoon after school. Praise for the support of the schoolâs administration. Pray for (1) David & Debbie Patterson as they continue to lead this ministry (2) Sara Cofield, Lenna Peterson, Janice Taylor, Bit Horton, Candi Chaney, Faye Gamble, Wanda Lucas and Sherry Vann who serve weekly and (3) more parents to enroll their children.
A strategy for churches and parents to partner together around local schools to empower students to influence their schools with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We presently have clubs in Brookwood and Greenwood Elementary Schools. Praise for being in 2 schools. Pray for (1) the children to attend in greater numbers than last year (2) the children to come to faith in Jesus Christ and (3) Heather Hopkins, Jennifer Criss, Mike Criss and Katie Goolsby as they partner with Jan Renfro and Brandy Boyd to co-lead this ministry effort.
4th and 5th graders at McAdory Elementary School have the opportunity to leave the campus every Monday to attend a Bible class focused on the doctrines of the Christian faith. Praise for this program entering our Jefferson County School System. Pray for (1) increased participation by the students, especially 4th graders and (2) Cyndi Lafond, who serves with others from our community in this ministry.
We have partnered with a local church in Robinwood as they minister to their community. We feed a meal to the community once a month.
Praise for (1) our volunteers that faithfully serve this ministry every month. Pray for (1) Pastor Amos as he leads Pillar of Hope in this ministry, (2) our team of cooks that provide the monthly meal, and (3) for opportunities to share the love and salvation of Christ as the meal is served.
Birmingham Metro Baptist Association (BMBA)
Pray for Dr. Chris Crain as he serves as Executive Director of our association and for all the ministries within our association. Especially pray for the Send Relief Serve Tour that will be in the greater BâHam area on March 20-21 ministering throughout various communities. Grace Life will be involved in this ministry.
