GLBC Kids Ministry
Our Mission
To nurture children within a loving family of servant missionaries by guiding them to glorify God, love others, be transformed by the gospel, and know the Bible.
Our Core Values
Gospel Guided. Family Focused. Mission Minded.
Sundays at Grace Life Kids
Children in 1st–5th grade check in upstairs and attend Life Groups during either the 9:00 AM or 10:30 AM service. We encourage children to attend Life Group during the same hour as their parent or grown-up.
The Biggest Story: One Unified Story of Redemption
Our Sunday Life Groups use The Biggest Story, a Christ-centered curriculum that takes children on a journey through the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. As children explore Scripture, they discover how every story fits into God's one unified rescue story centered on Jesus Christ.
From creation and the fall to God's promises and the coming of Christ, children learn how the Snake Crusher brings us back to the garden. Our desire is for kids to understand not only individual Bible stories, but also how the whole Bible reveals God's plan to rescue His people through Jesus.
Our Life Groups are led by generous volunteer leaders who faithfully invest in the next generation, helping children understand God's Word and connect its truths to their own lives.
Worshiping Together as a Family
We strongly encourage families to worship together. Listening to God's Word, singing, praying, and responding to the Holy Spirit alongside their church family are important parts of a child's spiritual growth. Children benefit from seeing their parents and grown-ups actively participate in corporate worship.
For this reason, we ask that children attend Life Group during only one service hour. Attending both hours would repeat the same lesson and limit opportunities to worship with their family and church community.
Kids' sermon note resources are available at the Kids Ministry check-in desk and throughout the worship sanctuary to help children stay engaged during the service.
Check-In & Pick-Up
At check-in, each child receives a sticker with a unique number code. A matching code is given to the parent or grown-up and must be presented at pick-up to ensure a safe and secure dismissal process.
Wednesdays at Grace Life Kids
Wednesdays are an opportunity for children to grow in their understanding of God's Word through engaging Bible teaching, worship, discussion, games, and hands-on activities.
Exploring the Grace Life Bible Timeline
Each week, we explore a segment of the Grace Life Bible Timeline, helping children understand how the people, events, and promises of Scripture fit together into God's great story of redemption.
Our Wednesday lessons follow the same Bible timeline used in our Sunday Life Groups, reinforcing what children are learning and helping them connect individual Bible stories to the bigger picture of Scripture. Through this consistent, chronological approach, children see how God's plan unfolds throughout history and points us to Jesus Christ.
Through Scripture, discussion, worship, and interactive activities, we want children to grow in their knowledge of the Bible, understand God's character and faithfulness, and recognize His saving plan from beginning to end.

We are honored to partner with families as you disciple your children. Our prayer is that each child will grow in their knowledge of God's Word, see how the whole Bible points to Jesus, and deepen their relationship with Him.
Family Resources
We believe families are the primary disciple-makers in a child's life. Our goal is to partner with you by providing meaningful tools and opportunities to support discipleship at home.
Throughout the year, we offer special events designed to engage children and families. We also encourage you to take advantage of the resources below as you help your child grow in their understanding of God's Word.
Bible Buddies
Children are invited to adopt a special stuffed animal Bible Buddy to encourage daily Bible engagement at home. Each child receives an adoption certificate and a simple care guide for their new friend.
The best way to care for a Bible Buddy is by spending time in Scripture together—reading Bible verses, talking about God's Word, and growing in faith as a family.
How to participate:
- Pick up a Bible Buddy at the Kids Check-In Desk.
- Receive a Bible reading plan to use at home.
- Make Bible reading a regular part of your family routine.
Big Bible Challenge
The Big Bible Challenge is a fun and meaningful way for children to grow in their knowledge of Scripture and develop important Bible skills.
Children who complete at least 75% of their grade-specific challenge will be invited to our Annual Awards Night—a special evening where families can dress up, walk the red carpet, and celebrate each child's hard work. Kids will receive medals and prizes as we recognize their commitment to learning God's Word.
How to participate:
- Pick up a copy of the challenge in the Children's Loft.
- Practice Bible skills at home and during class.
- Visit Mrs. Sydney on Sunday mornings to demonstrate progress, check off skills, and receive a small celebratory treat.
The Biggest Story Family Devotional
Bring Sunday's Bible lesson into your home!
The Biggest Story Family Devotional, written by Douglas Sean O'Donnell and edited by Kevin DeYoung, helps families with children ages 6–12 discover how the whole Bible fits together into one unified story of redemption.
The devotional aligns with our Sunday Kids Life Group lessons, giving families a meaningful way to revisit what their children are learning at church and continue the conversation at home.
We believe discipleship is a partnership between the church and the home. This resource provides a practical way to build a consistent rhythm of opening God's Word together and helping children understand how every part of Scripture points to Jesus.
Make time for God's Word as a family and grow together in the biggest story ever told.
